Pinholes act as decontextualized moments in an image- a deconstruction of narrative building and agency in an algorithmic attention economy. The wall paint and roller have covered all superfluous information while the push-pin arrangement leaves key moments that draw one’s gaze, like an inverted eye-tracking system.

When standing in front of one of the attention scores the viewer becomes performer- their attention acting as the notes that they play. They can choose the chronology, duration, and speed- or to turn away entirely, but the score is parasitic and insists on being played for as long as a performer is present. Presented as a grid the scores become a non-hierarchical stream of images, functioning in the same way as an individual score but on a larger scale; each score becomes a moment where attention can linger.
